Rossi finished the forefront of the race at the Assen circuit on Saturday (29/06/2013) evening hrs. The Italian rider ahead of Marc Marquez and Cal Crutchlow.
"I'm happy for Valentino," said Lorenzo in the MotoGP official website.
"More than two years without a victory for her weight. So, I'm happy for my partner in the garage," he added.
"After the tests in Aragon, I think he's made some progress, and here he is maximizing the opportunity," said Lorenzo.
Lorenzo himself still take part in the race despite recently undergoing surgery after suffering a broken collarbone. He was able to grab fifth.
