Cavill managed to get a prestigious role in one of the most anticipated films this time: Man of Steel. By Warner Bros and producer Christopher Nolan, he was appointed to play the legend "Man Of Steel" Superman.
Cavill's career on the big screen began passing film The Count of Monte Cristo in 2002. However, his name began to skyrocket after a successful playing Charles Brandon in The Tudors television series from 2007-2010.
Shining in the television series, Cavill's career on the big screen just stagnate. Several times he failed to win a big role. In 2004, Cavill was cast as Superman elected with director McG. However, McG withdrew from the project and the bench director Bryan Singer is taken over then chose Brandon Routh in the title role.
Cavill names mentioned would later play the character of Edward Cullen in the movie Twilight author Stephenie Meyer after praising the actor. But again, that role just fell into the hands of another actor, that is Robert Pattinson. The reason, Cavill was considered too old.
Then in 2005, he also entered the ranks of actors being considered as James Bond. Unfortunately, luck has not been in favor of Cavill. Daniel Craig was the one who actually managed to get the role.
Following the failures, Cavill was dubbed as "the most unfortunate man in Hollywood" by Empire magazine. However, as is known, the actor finally managed to break the assumption. Cavill was chosen to play Superman and his alter ego, Clark Kent, the Man of Steel movie which will hit theaters on June 14 this.

Why do all the other sites say he was born in 1983? Hmmm. I did think he looks older than the age he says.
